Missing and scrambled text in azw to epub conversion
I'm using the Calibre plug in to convert an azw3 purchased from Amazon to epub. There are no errors reported during conversion, but the resulting file has missing / scrambled text (see kindle1.jpg vs. epub1.jpg





and kindle2.jpg and epub2.jpg.




) . In that second example, at least a page of text at the end of the chapter is completely missing.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing these issues and how I could fix them?

so what does the original look like using a KINDLE viewer(not Calibre)

This sort of looks like a 2 column OCR (gone bad)

Probably a fixed layout azw3. Though it's difficult to be certain without access ot the file.

I couldn't duplicate the problem with the sample file:
