Looks like they shot the dog in 2.8
I noticed during my re-hack today that iRex yanked syslogd out of 2.8's startup script. This was providing the file Design256's watchdog was um what was the phrase they used... unintended functionality?
Me, I would have just removed the log message from the kernel, that way syslogd would still be running to catch and log real errors with a user's unit. |
