Free (DRM-free) Tro [Danish Academic Faith & Superstition Theology Essay w/Audiobook]

Tro by Peter Lodberg (Wikipedia DK), a theologian and professor at Aarhus University, is his Danish-language accessibly-written academic essay on belief, apparently in terms of both religious faith as-is, and as potential superstition, in the Tænkepauser ("Reflections", beginning to become available in English translation on their webpage here) series of 60-page shorts designed to provide a 60-minute introduction to assorted cultural/intellectual ideas for laypersons, free courtesy of the Aarhus University Press in Denmark.

This is part of their generous program of offering the latest-in-series and its accompanying MP3 audiobook reading as a freebie until the next one is ready to be published, after which the price goes up to 30 kroner each (eligible for their buy 2 get 1 free program, though, at least for the ebooks).

Tro kan flytte bjerge, siger vi. Alligevel er det i lang tid gået lidt ned ad bakke for Gud og co. De er ikke længere svaret på alle vores bønner. Og monopolet på at forklare alt mellem himmel og jord er gået fløjten. Men ifølge Peter Lodberg, klippefast teolog ved Aarhus Universitet, er tro ikke bare varm luft. Den er en grundsten i ethvert menneskes liv. Det er nok derfor, at størstedelen af jordens befolkning stadig bevarer troen. Ja, selv de vantro tror nu en lille smule. Hvis ikke på Gud, så på husprisernes fortsatte himmelflugt. Men det er måske ren overtro?
