James, Henry: An Animated Conversation, LIT v1, 5 March 2010.
Henry James [1843–1916]
An Animated Conversation [1889] First published in Scribner’s Magazine, Volume 5 Issue 3 (March, 1889) pp. 371–386. Later collected in “Essays in London and Elsewhere” (1893). A surprisingly topical story. A bunch of rather precious people have a wide-ranging conversation about reading, copyright and piracy.
