Amazon Announces Kindle Borg
June 17, 2032 - At an event at the Unicomplex today, Amazon founder and CEO, and Supreme Ruler of The Collective Jeff Bezos introduced the Kindle Borg, a new version of the popular mind-sharing device that is now required by law to be surgically installed in the brains of all citizens at birth.
"The vision for Kindle is every mind, in every body, in every species, in the entire universe, all available via wireless download in less tha 60 seconds," the Supreme Ruler declared. "We have assimilated over 5 billion brains into the Kindle catalog so far but we still need more to fulfill our goal. Resistance is futile." At the time of this writing, Amazon has not responded to inquiries regarding the future possibility of folder support. |

I really need one of those inserted into my brain. That way I will be able to increase the number of books I experience, so maybe I will eventually know everything... Or maybe not.

From the Supreme Ruler Locutus/Bezos:
"We are the Kindle Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your books and eReaders. We will discard your biological and technological distinctiveness. Your culture will be DRM'd to service only us. Resistance is futile. Folders are irrelevant." Last edited by poohbear_nc; 06-18-2009 at 10:45 AM. |

I love it when the company is aware of an issue but have enough of a sense of humor to have a joke about it! Games company Valve is like that, they take customer whinging and customer running jokes and turn it into game elements!
Apple took a while doing cut and paste, that was their running joke. As for the borg invasion, I'd be more worried about the borg getting to us by iphones! |
