K4 Mac or PC Help! Can't official Kindle dictionaries for PC software!

- They work fine on my Kindle device.

- I tried everything:
a/ sending from Amazon.com to My Kindle for PC - sync didn't find it.
b/ downloading manually from Amazon.com then copying to Kindle device - worked fine - then copying manually to My Kindle Content. Then I got the infamous 'The book could not be opened. Please remove the book from your device and redownload it.' message.

Solution?

Does your dictionary show up, when you click Archived Items in the Kindle for PC library? If so try re-downloading it by double-clicking the dictionary cover.
If if doesn't show up as an archived item, you'll have to remove its DRM and manually copy it to the My Kindle Content folder. If you want to use it as a lookup dictionary you'll also have to change its ASIN, because the Kindle for PC app doesn't support third-party dictionaries as lookup dictionaries. You shouldn't need to specifically send a dictionary to K4PC. The first time you try to access a dictionary for a particular language, it'll download it automatically.

Thanks; What I have found the Oxford New American (which I need) is not a separate file; it is somehow part of the software package; all other dictionaries download separately; though.

Any chance to get Oxford New American as a separate file on my PC?

It should be present on your Kindle 4 in the documents folder.
