Ebook viewer consumes too much memory

I'm using Calibre e-book viewer on Linux OS (Manjaro).
Having trivial .epub file opened and the viewer consumes about 700 Mb of RAM (screenshot with parent/child process tree/list is attached).
Programs with similar functionality, for ex. Foliate consumes at most 290 Mb.

How to reduce an excessive memory consumption by calibre e-book viewer?
