Dikterpresten Petter Dass (c. 1646-1707) er Norges mest kjente dikter fra barokken, og "Nordlands Trompet", en beskrivelse av Nordland og Troms er kanskje hans mest kjente verk. Teksten her er hentet fra dokumentasjonsprosjektet ved Universitetet i Oslo, http://www.dokpro.uio.no/
