apps running in background?
UPDATE: I think Newsrob is the culprit. When I looked at the settings, it has permissions to keep device from sleeping! AndAppStore has same feature. So these apps need to be turned off before putting Alex down for a nap. Moral: when installing 3rd party apps, check Settings/Applications/ and look at permissions for each app.
I have installed a few third party apps, and I wonder if they are running in the background and draining the battery. Twice now, after I locked keys on Alex, the battery drained completely. I didn't check battery status before I locked keys, but I had not gotten low battery warnings beforehand. Apps: HuffingtonPost app (beta) Newsrob Text Edit The first time, I'm pretty sure I turned wifi off. Second time, I left it on. I wish the force-quit option was easier to get to. (I did see a simple app that will put force-quit of running app in the notifications panel) The general android discussions on the web emphasize how android OS will turn off apps if resources are strained, but with two separate displays, this might be a special case.
