Chrome auto open functions for library load works once
I have Google Chrome set to auto-open all downloaded book files (epub, mobii, etc). New version, 7.14, opens only 1 and then no further opens happen.
It appears that the app thinks it has opened the file because when you add it manually to the library, it says it's already there (and it isn't). |

You likely have a search active in calibre or a virtual library that is hiding the added book.

There havent been any changes to adding books in 7.14.
And I can run calibre /path/to/book.epub multiple times and all the files are added as books, as always. Although I tested on Linux not macOS. |

Have you tried doing a search for that book before trying the manual copy to calibre? If you have merging set up, the copy you dragged and dropped would replace the copy Chrome had added.

And I tried doing
open -a calibre.app file.epub which is presumably what auto open in chrome does multiple times and it worked as expected on my mac as well. |

Oh well. I have been using Calibre extensively for at least seven years now. It used to work, now it doesn’t. What can I say?
