mobi2imp help
First of all let me say that I think that this program in combination with bookdesigner seems to be a very fast way to convert 80% of the books I want to read. My original problem with it was that I could not get a full screen cover page. However, yesterday after dropping a pdf file into bookdesigner I thought "Wow, that a pretty good conversion!",so I cleaned it up made a prc file then converted it to imp with mobi2imp. But, alas a small cover. So I looked at the samples included with mobi2imp and saw full page covers!
LOL, come on someone slap me in the head and set me straight. I feel like I am reinventing the wheel every time I need to drive to work. I have attached screen shots of all the conversion setting I used starting with bookdesigner to prc and the final mobi2imp output. I don't remember the exact size of the jpg cover image but it is plenty big enough to get a full page size in ebook publisher. There could be several reasons why the image would remain relatively smaller than what you would expect, namely:
If I was converting that .pdf ebook, I would have used a slightly different course of action, namely:
**I think you are still using the original Mobi2IMP (version 9.4) without any of the recent enhancements available since your dos window would have otherwise read Mobi2IMP (version 9.4e) Copyright (C) 2009 Nick Rapallo (nrapallo) |
