Run Calibre Server 3.0 Headless??

Is it possible to run the Calibre 3.0 server on a headless - no X11 - server. If so, what is the process for building it.

Thanks,

-steve

Yes, just run it. You need ot have the X11 libraries installed, but no running X server.

Hmm:

Here's what I'm seeing:

$ calibre-server /tmp/Calibre\ Library/
This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "headless"
in "/opt/calibre/lib/python2.7/site-packages/calibre/plugins".

Available platform plugins are: headless (from /opt/calibre/lib/python2.7/site-packages/calibre/plugins), linuxfb, minimal, offscreen, xcb.

Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Granted this is in the context of trying to install inside a docker container, so this may be the core issue. But any help on what is missing would be much appreciated.

That indicates a failure to load the headless Qt plugin, which in turn is liely caused by a missing library. Use the LD_DEBUG and QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS env vars to get detailed output about why it is failing.

Got It Thx!

LD_DEBUG led me to the missing libfontconfig.

Thx!
