Libra 2 some of my ebooks are not sorted correctly by title

Hello,

I use Calibre to organize my ebooks and then I transfer them to my device (Kobo Libra 2) via USB.

Usually when I sort my ebooks by title on the Kobo it works fine, but there are a few that don't sort correctly, even though on Calibre the field is correctly compiled.

One example is a book titled "Al di sopra del mondo".
This title should sort under A and it does on Calibre (see attached screenshot of Metadata panel on Calibre: the UI is in Italian, but I think you can understand all the same), but on my Kobo it sorts under D.

How can I fix this?

Are you editing the title in the eBook or just in calibre's metadata editor? Also, to make sure the metadata is updated proper on your Kobo, you'll need to plug your Kobo in a second time so it updated the metadata after being imported.

Just in Calibre. I don't know other ways to edit titles.

Other titles are listed correctly (for example a title like "La casa del governo" is sorted correctly under C), I don't know why this one is different.

I'm still lost on this. I'm trying to follow the instructions above and those in this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=363388

I've checked and I didn't have metadata management set to "Automatic" in the calibre settings (Preferences - Send Books to Devices) before, but now I do. I also have "Update metadata on the device" checked in the Kobo driver settings.

So I have plugged in the device again: info on the series has been updated for other books (like the other thread suggests), but this book "Al di sopra del mondo" is still wrongly sorted under D instead of A. (in Calibre everything is correct: title = Al di sopra del mondo, sort title = Al di sopra del mondo).

In Kobo, other books that shouldn't be sorted under the first letter of the title are fine (for example another book "Il capro" is correctly sorted under C and not I), but not this one.

If someone could help me with this, it's a minor issue but it's still annoying.
