Hello,

The ebook you bought should have a Smart Media card already installed.

What you need to upgrade is a card reader that can handle the Smart Media. They are out there but you may have to order one online, I doubt any big box store would have one. You may find one at one of the little computer stores.

Once you find a reader you can download the files from http://www.ebooktechnologies.com/migration.htm

You may want to email eBookwise to see if you actually need to upgrade or if you can just "refurbish" the reader and then sign up at eBookwise. Refurbishing will remove the prior owners data and allow you to make the reader your own.

Any reader that support smartmedia cared will work so long as it is USB based. Floppy based ones will work too if you have a floppy driver but you are not likely to find that.

I think you are confusing Mb with Mac.

The minimum size Smart Media card you would want is 64 Megabites (Mb). It will hold 30 plus books.

You don't actually need a card at all in the 1150, it has 8Mb of onboard memory and will hold or 10 books. That said, you will need a card if you wish to migrate it to the ebookwise servers.

Look at http://www.jr.com/delkin-devices/pe/DEK_DDSMFLS2128/ for the card. Be aware that you may get a box of ten at this price. I did and I'm hoarding it!

Look at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817422002 for a card reader. I don't know anything about this, I just searched around for it.

Another option is to email ebooktechnologies and ask them to send you a card with the migration files on it.
