Does the sony reader 300 have folders? If not can you add them with an update??

Not sure about the 300 - I create folders for my 600 in Calibre by using tags. Maybe works the same for the 300?

It has 'collections' which are basically tags. They basically act like single level folders.

There are numerous devices which DO have full folder support. Might be easier just to get one of those.
