What date is used in the 'Date' field of CC Metadata window?

I am inching toward intelligent and efficient use of CC (more accurately, I'm picking the brains of you guys and slowly comprehending what you're teaching).

So my latest thought is to periodically load AZ books into CC, and ensure they are converted for enjoyment in ReadEra. I don't want to use a system that requires me to track the updates, so I'm looking for something in CC I can use. The 'Date' field in the Metadata window (see attached screenshot) seems to be the date I loaded a book into CC. Is that assumption correct?

Also, is there a field in CC that records when a conversion was performed? That might be a better/more reliable benchmark.

Thanks in advance!

{date} is the date the entry was (first) made in Calibre. You could change it, I prefer to leave it as is, as there are actions that adjust {id} , so I have an idea of the order added.
There are 3 standard 'date' type fields in Calibre: {date},{published} and {last_modified}
You can always add a custom column of 'date type' if you need it for another purpose

BTW You show the MDE of Calibre, not CC

Last Modified Date will change to 'Now' when you convert, but lots of other less obvious actions can also change that date, e.g. if you correct a typo in a tag all the books with the tag will have their Last Modified Date set to 'Now'.

Its easy to maintain a custom date, just create a custom date column e.g. mydate/My Date with the desired format e.g yyyy-MM-dd, and make sure its visible in the book list. When you want to set a book's My Date to 'Now', press F2 in the My Date cell -- if it's empty it will be set to 'Now' and you can press Enter, otherwise you can set it to 'Now' by pressing '=' and Enter, or clear it by pressing '-' and Enter. Or of course, you can enter a date.
