Despite the naysayers, this looks like an okay tablet tablet, if the predicted price of $159 is correct, but folks who can scrape around 50% more buck together would probably be much happier with the new Nexus 7.

We got a Fire HD 8.9" tab for my kid after he wore out his gen 1 Fire. Wire is a little jealous and might want an even bigger one. With a BT keyboard, she may abandon her laptop.
I'm hoping a jelly bean Fire will be able to tab-cast to my new Chromecast. |
