Books you gave up on ever being ebooks
Hopefully this is the right place for this.
What books have you given up on ever coming out as ebooks (or at least not until they go into public domain)? I finally broke down and bought two hard back books this weekend after concluding that they probably won't be coming out as ebooks anytime soon. Both are what one might call specialty books. Both are by Liddel Hart, Strategy and The History of World War II. I actually had purchased both as paper backs a long time ago, but both have fallen apart, so I decided to pick up hard back copied. Since both are currently out of print, I bought used hard backs. Interestingly, I did buy an ebook copy of Strategy in the Kindle store back in 2009, but it was a poorly scanned topaz version which is no longer available. I'm not sure if it was legit or not. |

Off the top of my head...
Those Devils in Baggy Pants by Ross Carter Twelve O'Clock High by Beirne Lay, Jr. and Sy Bartlett Panzer Battles by F. W. Von Mellenthin FWIW, The History of World War II is slated to come out in the UK next year so there is hope for the US or at least one would be able to get the UK edition assuming Kobo gets it and you don't mind "traveling". http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0130QRYKE |

That won't work unless she strips the DRM. You can't gift between countries, and if she buys it on her account, it will be tied to her Kindle or app.

That's already in the Kindle store, or at least it use to be. Gates to Witch World is the first three books (Witch World, Web of the Witch World and Year of the Unicorm). Lost Lands of Witch World has the next three (Three against Witch World, Warlock of Witch World and Sorceress of Witch World). I picked them both up in the Kindle store some years ago.
Lost lands is still available http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Lands-Wit...of+witch+world I'm not sure what the deal is with the first. |

You may need Schwarzkopf to come out of the woodwork to shill this book again to get it any buzz. Too bad, because it's one of my favourite books covering WWII. "German Generals of World War II" by the same author was also pretty interesting, but there's even less chance of that one being revived as an ebook.

Since this seems to be a military oriented thread, any of Adm. Dan Gallery's fictional works.

Laura Ingalls Wilder 'Little House' series (except for Little House In The Big Woods which I think might be PD).
