Wagner, Charles: The Simple Life. V1. 30 Oct 2010

Charles Wagner (1852–1916) was a French reformed pastor whose inspirational writings were influential in shaping reformed theology.
In 1904, he was invited to preach at the White House by Theodore Roosevelt on whom his book "The Simple Life" had made a lasting impression.

This charming essay is a plea for simplicity in life--for "simple thoughts, simple words, simple needs, simple pleasures, simple beauty." Translated from the French by Mary Louise Hendee.

I read Walden earlier this year, and I'll be interested to see the similarities and differences of the two authors. Thanks, weatherwax!
