Onyx Boox 60 Email
Onyx is wanting to add email shortcuts on the Onyx Boox 60. However we only want to add 2 or 3. Of course gmail will be a given, however, I like to get an opinion of you guys what the other email or two should be.

I think It would be very usefull to be able to add your own, as so many people have online work e-mail etc

Yahoo and Hotmail/Live would seem the obvious choices.

@molesm: I second that... Just Gmail, Yahoo and MSN isn't enough.

I've tried hotmail, Gmail and others, but prefer inbox.com.
I agree that a user-configurable email is essential. Remember that a lot of people access email through their ISP's server. |

Supporting user configured imap servers would be ideal!

Understand that these 2-3 email sections are only for now. We would eventually like to have full email capabilities.

+6x10^23 times in agreement....and everyone loves a good "avogadro" in a salad or sandwich...
there is your answer...mostly because of the issue of creating emails offline then trying to sync sent items with your desktop email client. If it's all done via IMAP it works easily with apps like Outlook. Plus by limiting to only the Big Three (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail?Live) then what is a person with their own mail server going to do if company mail cannot exist outside the company's mail server? IMAP seems the most universally and reasonable solution here. |
