Interestingly enough, they added a password for root and added a user called "admin" in this version. Looks like admin is also set to 0:0 though

Just tell calibre to ignore the db version check.

Please keep in mind that unfortunately the community receives very little info from Kobo on new devices. Yes; I did manage to at least get the USB IDs for the new devices but unfortunately we were not certain of the db version in the database.
