This isn't meant to replace Deals, Freebies, and Resources forum but to help out Kindle owners, either new or not, find free books without having to dig through multiple threads in that forum or dig through the bestsellers list on Amazon.

That's why I posted it here in the Kindle forum

MobileRead is an inclusive forum board, and to me, separating free Kindle books to their own thread is exclusive.

You can post what you would like, of course.

However, it would be a shame if someone with another brand device didn't see a book available to them because it was listed here, and not on "freebies" board.

Well, like I said, this isn't meant to replace the Deals, Freebies, and Resources forum; this thread is just a place to compliment it. A master list for new or not new Kindle users.

Kindle deals and non-Kindle deals will continue to be posted in the Deals, Freebies, and Resources forum (and I will add the Kindle deals to the list

Quite a few of those novels are great, I encourage anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to read them, to give them a browse; especially considering the price.

Just so no one feels left out, maybe a post in the regular Freebies section linking back to your post here would inspire non-Kindle owners to look for the same books at other retailers.

I picked up "His Majesty's Dragon" when that bunch was released. I am now on the 4th book! IT is a really good series IMHO. I hope this is one of the reasons Amazon does this, to hook a reader on an author so we keep reading their stuff.

That's why the publishers are doing it. It's a great way to generate interest in an author/series. It's worked great for Baen with their free library for years.

I really like Novik's series too. She's working on the 6th book right now, working title Tongues of Serpents, and is due to turn it in sometime in August.

The "Kindle owner" is going to decide, at some point or another, to just start posting free books here. After all, its a Kindle book, and its "easier." Will you take responsibility for making sure they are listed in the freebies section also?

And I just don't see the 'digging thru multiple threads' or 'trolling amazons best seller list' as being an issue.

But look. I've stated my objections. Apparently, no one else sees the problem, so I will just leave it at that.

Yes, if somebody only post in here that a free book is available...I'll inform them to also make a thread in Freebie or I'll do it myself and give credit to the original poster.

IT is a really good series IMHO. I hope this is one of the reasons Amazon does this, to hook a reader on an author so we keep reading their stuff.
