The first of many Fairy books edited by Andrew Lang, The Blue Fairy Book was published in 1889.

Lang collected stories from around the world for the series with many of the tales that were already well known included in the earlier volumes. He drew from many sources including Andersen and Grimm.

I hope to post all that I can find. So far I have found text for 11 of the 13 identified books. Still missing are The Olive Fairy Book (1907) and The Rose Fairy Book (1???.)

Thanks. I remember when I saw some of the books as a kid that the covers were the color of the title of the book. Now it can only be seen in the Connect software on a PC (and on the Mobi/PRC versions when viewed on a color screen.)
