[Feature Request] Manage "Full Text" search
Full Text search feature added with version 6.0
After few searches I wanted to clear all the search results so I went to Preferences > Searching > Clear search histories but it didn't work. Suggestion: Add another Tab in Preferences > Searching for Full Text Search - Clear search histories - Search as you type maybe other general search features as well |

You can right click on the search bar in the FTS search dialog to clear its history. But its a good point that it should be done by the Preferences button as well.
As for search as you type, I'm not interested in implementing that. Doesn't seem very useful to me when doing full text searching. |

Another small enhancement request: the option to re-index a specific book, though the one instance I can think of for needing this (doing modifications to eBooks directly in the folders rather than copying it out and re-adding it) is probably a bad practice anyways.

Quote:
Windows/NTFS updates the Book folder Modified Date when one of the files therein is modified. If that's true of the other platforms maybe this could be used in a Refresh the Index option - assuming it can't be done 'automatically' via folder watching. I believe the last modified date is what the Power Search plugin checked for. Another option and possibly more reliable (albeit slower) is the file checksum.

Silly question: Where is the individual re-index button?

its in the side panel when you click on the book in the FTS dialog. so you have to be able to find the book first before re-indexing it.
