Python Unicode Demystified
I've come upon this extremely informative presentation about Unicode use in Python.
It clarified a lot of things the Unicode Howto left me wondering about. I highly recommend it to anybody doing eBook related Python development. - Ahi |

I learned from it, with much embarrassment, that I've been using .encode('utf-8') and .decode('utf-8') incorrectly (the wrong way around).
There is also this Python encoding detector linked from somewhere in the presentation. - Ahi |
