Calibre as Note Manager
Does anyone know, if it is feasable to manage pdf files already in my hard disk, attributing them metadata, in particular TAGS?
There is specific software for that, but either I find it heavy (like Tagspaces) or it obliges you to take notes with a markup syntax, that I find boring. I could use Zotero, but I prefer to reserve it for managing my bibliographies. I fancy, that what I'd like to do is feasable, but before studying guides and manuals, I would like to know your opinion. Thank you. PS: Hallo everibody! |

I doubt many people here have used both calibre and Tagspaces in anger.
At one stage I stored links to Evernote 'notes' in the calibre Author Link field, but I scrapped that when calibre gained its calibre:// URL feature. That feature has since been extended to provide URL links in all category columns — Authors, Tags, Publishers, Series etc — and user defined custom columns. And the same columns can now have Rich Text Format notes attached to them. BR |
