calibre failed to load after 1.12.0 down load

help!

after down loading claibre 1.12.0

attempted to open calibre on my lap top unable to even access
get the following msg:

python function terminated unexpectdly
failed to load the progress indicator plugin:
The sip module implements API v9.0 v9.2 but the progress indicator
module request API v10.1 (error code1)

Did you try redownloading and installing again?

Use the official calibre binary and not whatever calibre is provided by your linux distro.
