Dedicated OEM forum?

Hi all,

This may well be a stupid question, but I was wondering what the reason behind this EZReader forum is?
There already is a Hanlin forum, so I don't really understand why there's a need for an additional EZReader forum and not forums for e.g. BeBook, ECO-Reader, Papyre, lBook et cetera; all device which have the same hardware & software, so probably the same problems and solutions...

We have long thought about how to deal with OEM devices (and also discussed it in public), and concluded that most end users don't care whether their device is OEM or not. They are coming to Mobileread to look for info on their specific device and if they don't find the info, they move on.

I don't claim that we have found the perfect solution yet, but for now, we take the community as a benchmark for whether a dedicated section is justified. We see more activity around the Astak than, let's say, the Papyre, and hence the decision to add a section for the Astak reader. Should it turn out that we misjudged demand, we'll have to reconsider again.

It's a work in progress!
