Good Question. I've been trying to get Book Designer to work to create some Korean work... haven't gotten it to work yet.. Is it possible?

I also believe that the librie forums have the japanese font used there... i've read about it somewhere in this forum... Try a search for 'japanese'...
You would use the UNIVERSAL FLASHER (pinned thread) to add that japanese font to your ereader, then create content as an rtf or txt file. I'm sure a search of this forum will give you all the information you need. |

You can also just embed the fonts in the LRF file. See the html2lrf thread for an example of this that successfully display Russian and German text.

Some Chinese users have already enabled Sony Reader to support Chinese/Japanese perfectly by replacing the embedded TTF font files.more than 20,000 Chinese characters are supported. So far they found the best format for Chinese/Japanese on Sony Reader is UNICODE encoded RTF file.
The following is some photos they took. They also put a video clip on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQDKzjtviYg Last edited by murphytalk; 07-02-2007 at 11:55 AM. |
