Splitting book entry with multiple formats into separate books with one format each

Hi, I stumbled on a problem with Calibre.
I imported lots of magazines in CBR and CBZ format.
Unfortunately a lot of them created merged library entries.
(Calibre created one entry with two formats
from two magazines with different formats)
Is there a quick way to separate all selected
entries into separate books with individual formats.
Something like a command: split book in separate books from
all formats listed in book metadata.

The only way calibre will merge imported books is if you use the option add books from folders one per folder or if you turn o automatic merging in Preferences->adding books

The fastest wy to do it would be to simply delete the newly added books, change the option and re-add

For adding new books see - Preferences>Add books->Adding actions->Auto-merge added books if they already exist->Create new record for each duplicate format

For existing library try the following. Test on a few books first

uncheck this setting ===>>> Preferences>Add books->Adding actions->When using the "Copy to library" action check for duplicates with the same title, author and language

• Create a new library, we'll call it TempLib,
• Search for books in existing library (MyLib) that have CBR and CBZ
• Copy those books to the TempLib library using the Copy to library tool.
• Remove all CBRs from the TempLib library
• Remove all CBZs from the MyLib library
• Copy all books from TempLib library to the MyLib library
• Remove the TempLib library

Curious, why don't you want both formats in the same 'book'? Indeed why even retain both formats?
