A skinny little thing - I see they appear to have shaved about 30% off the weight of the 350 compared to the 300.

The 950 links don't have any details, probably since it's not available until later.
I'm curious about the 950's size/weight, since I was hoping the Touch would have at least WiFi |

Yeah, just in time for my Birthday at the end of this month. How soon do you think they will be avaliable for purchase. I love the idea of being able to read in bright sunlight.

That is odd as you cannot authorize a reader now to handle LRX. And LRX is dead.

I don't think they will be selling them again, but they might as well support displaying them on the device, as it will cost next to nothing to include it--the software already exists, and I imagine the resource requirements for it are well within the spec of the new devices. Imagine if they did not include it--they might lose a few sales from existing Sony owners.

I take a look at the screenshot for pocket edition, under the Paper-like "Display for Easy Reading" and "A Library of Books in One Device ", it seems like the ebook is still left justified.
It's kind of ridiculous, I know that Sony has the reputation to left their old device update behind, but this is supposed to be their new hope in ereader market, and yet they can not implement such a simple "feature" edit: after watching the video from youtube, it seems that new sony reader able with fully justified epub (or the one demonstrated use lrf?) As far as justification, doing full justification well is actually rather difficult from a programmatic point of view because it requires substitution dictionaries, micro-spacing, etc. Even most browsers do it extremely poorly - usually with just very spacy lines. |
