I'm using since 1 month and I'm very well impressed, so I believe it deserves a dedicated thread to collect tips/tricks, Q&A, suggestions...

Let's begin with general info

I decided to buy an Ares for following reasons:

1. I was looking for a device for taking note (mainly)
2. Not so big as Remarkable
3. Same experience of paper writing

After having read tons of article and seen several video reviews, my personal short list was:

• Ratta Supernote A6
• Boox Nova Pro
• Apple iPad Mini
• Ares Note

To make it short:

Supernote: closest thing to writing on paper but with a relatively immature software and no third party apps
Nova Pro: same hardware of Ares but with a smaller battery, no SD card, no paper feeling
iPad Mini: superb software, fast but pricey and no paper feeling

So, even if its glass screen doesn't give paper feeling, I decided to go with Ares Note because it offer Google Play Store, SD card at honest price

Is that for the model K78W? It doesn't seem to have been pushed to me yet, i'm on 2.2.0 and it says latest.

This is all very fine. But what use is it if one's device has no update available?

Can you post the update so all of us who have yet to get it can do a manual update?

Hi,
Noticed that the new update has new Zreader and the existing default reader which has an Icon as a headset in the bottom bar near Text size adjustment. On click of the icon, it gives some message in chinese. Could you anyone please help me to un understand it and enable the text to speech feature in English. Attached the images for references..

You just connect wifi and try to click this icon. It will fix this problem

Hi, I am new here.
I just got a Likebook Ares Note 7,8 inches.
Amazing.

I just updated it to the latest firmware 3.04 (2021) (android 8.1).

The only problem I have is: when I turn it off, if under charge it restarts. It does not turn off. So if I unplug the cable and turn it off, it does with no problem.
Did I have this problem before that update? No idea. I didn t try unfortunately.

Anyone else having the same issue? thanks

I believe if it gets power it just auto starts by design. Mine does as well on 3.0.4 and I also don't know if was same before as I just keep it charged between 40-80 and never turn it off.
