Now does the library work?
Can you all tell me how the books you download from your local library expires in 21 days?
Also does each library have access to the same books? Or does each library have to purchase the ebooks and therefore some larger libraries may have more books then someone else? |

I believe when you download books from a public library, you get a license to read the book for a certain amount of days. It works the same way if you download audio books.
I don't think every library has the same books. Some seem to have larger ebook selections than others. It's probably a matter of their budget. |

Each library buys what they have individually. Unfortunately some, like mine (Hennepin County, MN) only do Audiobooks, Videos & Music and no ebooks. |

Each library has its own 'library' of ebooks. If you have a local library card, go online, and checkout their ebook section. If you have a Kindle, you'd need to check out books in mobipocket format. If you have a Sony, you would use the epub format. |

As a courtesy, it's also nice to 'return' the eBook if your are finished with it before the expiration date. This will free up that 'copy' and make it available for another borrower.

I've returned pdf-format ebooks early. There's an option in ADE to "return" the book, and it is not on my borrowed list when I login to the library online.
