Dickens Quiz
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4399744.stm
How did you get on? I'm ashamed to admit, as a huge Dickens fan, that I only got 11 out of 12, and must hang my hand in shame because the question I wrong was the one about the second sentence of "A Tale of Two Cities", which I really should have known, since I've only just finished proof-reading it . |

7 out of 12. Not too bad for not really knowing the personal history of the man.

4 out of 12. Not bad for never read anything about him nor from him... (except the tv versions of A Christmas Carol)
(and the one I should have gotten correct, I picked wrong: The amount of ghosts that visit ebeneezer scrooge...) |

6/12 - not too bad, considering I'm not really a Dickens fan.

9 out of 12 - got the Tale of Two Cities one wrong (never liked that book!), who he outlived and, stupidly, the artist's nickname - misread the question and chose Dickens pen name instead

I won't say! The only Dickens I've read is "A Tale of Two Cities" years ago and which I loved. He is one I keep moving up and down my list. The only reason I'm posting is I thought Harry and other Dickens lovers might be interested in this article I just read this morning...resulting in a move back to the top.

5/12 ... Not too bad considering I've only read The Mystery of Edwin Drood and seen movie adaptations of A Christmas Carol. Although, I have to admit I did get the number of ghosts wrong -- I forgot to include Marley.

5/12, which surprised me, as I've only read a couple of books by Dickens.
