Nice pictures! The color e-ink panel still needs some work though, that color shift when viewed from an angle looks distracting...

From all the panel failures I've read about in iLiad's, I wouldn't hold my iLiad upside down like that.

Is any one surprised to see the iLiad's battery is nearly empty?

Great pics! Thanks for sharing!

Makes the impression of being an early mock-up to display the colour e-ink screen. I guess we'll have to wait for a while to see commercial products..

Very nice pictures! So is the Fujitsu not just a mock-up but a live-functional device?

Interesting thank you very much for the great photos. Does someone have some details about this Panasonic device shown there? Looking at the display quality it seems to have an LCD but I like the form factor :-)

the screen of words-gear use a special TFT technology, which consume
small battery energy. if only used to read, It can sustain 6 hours.
But if you let it do other things such as mp3, I dont know. Because
the screen is TFT, the view angle exist. So viewing from the side of
screen, I dont see the screen clearly, it is nearly dark. (security in
the train:-)).
another interesting is the left of screen, there is a black rectangle.
it is touch sensor. The different operation is up to how you touch the
sensor.

"The prototype e-book reader included a USB connector and an SD memory card slot. Fujitsu is still developing the display and doesn’t have any commercialization plans at present."
