Kobo SD Card
I have a Kobo H20 Aura with a 32 GB SD card. For me sideloading books has worked fine with transferring books to the SD-Card. But it becomes a issue when I download books from kobostore it goes into internal storage?
As these books have DRM is it just possible to move them to external manually or how do I make it download new books I purchase straight to SD-Card or is that not possible? |

For downloaded books, the device will manage the storage. When it considers the internal memory to be full, it will download the books to the SD card. From memory, this is done when there is less than about 100MB left on the internal memory. I this a long time ago, so the exact amount might have changed.

Oh okay I see. Where would these DRM protected books be stored? I looked in the internal and external and did not find them which makes me think they can not be moved to external?

On the internal storage, the downloaded books are in the directory ".kobo/kepub". On the SD card, they are in "koboExtStorage/kepub". And this isn't just DRM protected books. It is all books purchased from Kobo and downloaded directly to the device. Whether they have DRM is dependent on the author or publisher.

And further to what davidfor posted, the file names are not human readable. In the kepub directory, you find files with names such as "6ec1cc70-10d1-452a-8699-74fe1d8ae25d" with no extension.
