Is Reader DRM covered by this patent portfolio?
Sony hasn't said what encryption technology is employed by the DRM they use on the Sony Reader ebooks but seeing as how everything from Sony Vaio computers to Sony TV sets seems to be getting sucked up into this patent issue I wonder if the Sony Reader will get sucked in as well.

My dream scenario outcome is that Sony and the other vendors possibly implicated all say "Screw it, DRM wasn't working anyway" and drop it to spite Certicom.
But I suppose that'll happen only in my dreams. |
