Smile Props to Kubizo

Meant to post before: LOVE THIS!!!!!
Works beautifully and I now never know what will pop up. Tons of photos look wonderful! Just one hint: use clearest pics and ones that have white space too dark is just ... dark.

Thank you so much!

Worth using peeps!

Hi Allison Dbl,

thanks for your comments and for the suggestions! Glad to know that you liked it!

I fully agree with you. Actually, not only the kindle screen does not have full white (it only ranges from black to kind of bright grey), but it also renders colors in a way that is not very linear. In other words, an image that looks nice and contrasty on a PC screen, might look dull on a Kindle.

I'm working on that and I hope to come up with a way to optimize the images so that they look as good as possible.

Thanks again!

Will it work with a Kindle 3 KSO too?

Hi Truseva,

no it won't. The KSO is discounted thanks to the screensavers. Removing them would not be just "hacking", it would be kind of like taking money from Amazon.

Ciao and thanks for your interest!

Thank you, Kubizo!
It's a pity though, you've got some great screensavers.

Thanks, glad you like them!

I believe Amazon can take the Special Offer away... but right now doing so it's pretty expensive (30 USD). I bet it will go down in the future though.

They are not taking them away for the K3, at least not yet, only the K4 can benefit from the additional $30 payment. I could easily live with them if they were more esthetic and screensaver-like, but 80% of the SO are amazingly ugly.
Oh well. Still you do a great job for the regular Kindle owners

Yes, eReaderIQ was down all day. It is my understanding that they (and many other websites) were affected by a major disruption to their hosting service. They're back up again now.

Russian-language Kindle e-books can be found at www.MobiPocket.ru
They are traditionally delivered zipped, but i've heard from the eevelopers of the ite recently they plan to add clear .mobi download links, so e-books would be easier to download directly to the devices (like feeding in Kindle app on iPad directly).

New Kindle manual

There's another manual on the Kindle out. "Kindle - the unofficial manual. Guidebook, tips and tricks" claims to be the most comprehensive of all available publications. It actually contains some stuff I didn't know yet
