I tried to use the red bolded option but it still isn't working for me. When I press the main KU toolbar button I still get the 'Configure KU' screen coming up even though I've set the config to 'Configure Driver'.

ETA: I should add that if I connect a device then pressing the main toolbar button does open the 'Configure Driver' window.

When I select Customize Driver as the default action when clicking on the Kobo Utilities icon, customize plugin is opened instead.

By the way, there is still a mistake in the translation of "Invalid id" in ebook-edit after a check: it says "id invalise" instead of "invalide".

I totally rewrote the koboUtilities_help.html in a KoboUtilities_help_FR.html that keeps your original code and sentences as comments (alas not all). My understanding problems are also included in comment tags. My html checker ( "Balthisar Tidy for Work" is also English localized only ) notices some structural errors, like bad links… I let you see deeper this file. Seems to be usable as it is though. I'm going to test it with the new release of Calibre.

The translations were made. Alas a Hardware breakdown has come to spoil everything. ( Graphic card on a vintage mac ) Without a computer for more than a week and the loss of my data slowed down my ardor. I think that I will have to wait some time before proposing a complete and harmonious French translation (strings, and help file). Sorry for this interruption. I also lost all my calibre library. I must study how to restore it.

Thanks a million for the plugin; makes Calibre a *much* more useful tool for me now. I'm having a little trouble with annotations, though. When I try to "Backup Annotation File" for a kepub, I'm told that there were none, and no file is written, although the "Copy Annotations" function gives me a good preview of the annotations.

The Kobo devices do annotations in two ways. They store annotations for all book formats in the internal database. For epubs and PDFs, annotations are also stored in files. The two annotations functions in the plugin work on these two different different mechanisms.

Personally, I don't recommend either of these. The "Backup Annotation File" was a quick and dirty addition that I don't find very useful. The "Copy Annotations" was intended for copying and pasting the annotations elsewhere. Depending on what you want, a better method to extract the annotations is the Annotations plugin. It copies them to a column in calibre with some reasonable formatting. But, if the purpose is to back them up and restore them later, there isn't an automatic way to do this. Some people have written scripts to extract the data from the database. A search of the Kobo subforum should find them.

This is only a request, and if you have the time to do it, I don't know if it's even possible.

To take the book status (Read, Unread, Finished), from sqlite file (I didn't find where it's in sqlite file), and to load it, into a custom column.
So if you finished a book on your device, when you connect the device to calibre, it will change to Finished in the custom column.
I don't know how it will work if somebody have more than one device.
