I have seen that one too, and I really don't see much of a difference; apart from budget. I also subjected myself to a few episodes of that dire Torchwood thing (which apparently is the adult spin-off according to my friend). Doctor Who was a kids show though, wasn't it? I'm sure if its not now (although it feels that way to me) it once used to be. Maybe it's just another symptom of the juvenilisation of entertainment that started up in the early 80's.

I don't like Dr. Who. I find it doesn't satisfy my SF appetite - but that's not to criticise it's fans. I think different people look for different things - after all, we don't all order the same meal at a restaurant.

I enjoy "The Sarah Jane Adventures". Kids' stuff, yes, but good fun. I'm never around to watch it when it's broadcast, but I've bought the first two series of it on DVD.
