When I start CS I see a regex expression in the search field, viz: This effects the immediate use of the down arrow key (i.e. as soon as CS starts), when I press it I get this: Uncertain as to whether this is only since yesterday, but my intuition is that it is. BR |

Nope. First filter at the top left is Authors. At startup, apparently the down arrow is telling Qt to select the first dropdown value, which triggers the Authors filtering action.
The regex belongs to the regex search pushbutton to its right. DaltonST |

What do you mean 'Nope'
When I start CS, the 'spreadsheet' contains all the books in the library with the first item highlighted, when I press the down arrow I can then only see the first item - IMO the highlight should move to the second item. I didn't type ^.+$ into the regex search box, I didn't press the Search pushbutton, and I didn't select Authors as the Filter. Aa-ah - If you look at the second screen shot it has "Anat Admati..." displayed in the Author Filter, so it seems that when CS starts the Authors Filter selector has keyboard focus, even though the dominant visual appearance is that the topmost row on the spreadsheet has focus. Maybe its been ever thus - but in my opinion when CS starts the first column in the first row should have keyboard focus. FWIW: I start CS via the keyboard from calibre's context menu, i.e. I'm in keyboard mode - (menu key, up, right, enter) BR Last edited by BetterRed; 11-07-2018 at 08:02 PM. |

I need the entire debug log automatically created by running CalibreSpy via a .bat file. I need to know exactly what the VL's criteria were.
I am going to assume for now that the error was caused by a boolean custom column datatype, and post a fix for that. I still need the debug log to ensure it was not something else. DaltonST Last edited by DaltonST; 11-20-2018 at 07:39 PM. Reason: more info. |

Version 1.0.59 VL support for tag hierarchy "=." criterion
Version 1.0.59- 24 Nov 2018 VL support for tag/tag-like hierarchy "=." criterion.
As of this version, all "real" Calibre GUI VL search criteria are supported by the CalibreSpy GUI. Not "real": 'marked:' and 'ondevice:', since they exist only in the GUI's temporary cache, and not in the actual metadata database. CalibreSpy uses the real database, and not the cache, since CalibreSpy is entirely independent of the Calibre GUI. DaltonST |
