Great shape ? No. But I strive to stay healthy. I need a great exercise program for the "over 60". I seem to always get some sort of injury. I do cycle about 100 miles a week, and can do 120 miles easily in a short day. My goal is to do 220 this year some day in July.

Oh, it's not far at all! Just a few miles. Snow/ice free streets means less than 20 minutes (I keep a good speed).
Wintertime... well this winter has been really tough, I don't even want to think about it... I'm so looking forward to be able to get my speed up again, but I'm guessing another few weeks before I dare take advantage of that glorious downhill slope on my way to work. I have noticed my fitness level has gone up considerably this winter, cause I tell you, getting a bicycle going through several inches of snow makes your pulse go UP UP UP!! |

I actually use that uphill as a kind of "fitness-meter". Can I do it, and in what gear? Yeah, this winter has caused problem in many part of Europe! (I see you are in Berlin.) Cancelled trains, planes, you name it... |

It's 2AM and I was slacking all day, but I got on the StairMaster and did 45 min. while I watched The King's Speech streamed from the pc. Good workout AND good movie. No complaints over here.

For myself, walking and housework (with my Mp3), and listening to books, or lectures, seems about my mark. I still feel healthy though. Cheers |
