Gtk-board games. worth a look.
EDIT: Okay I got this running native. injected into a native Xephyr. Should really put together a package soon of support "libs" and then start shovelling the native ones on that pile. It makes no sense having multiple copies of libs on FAT. I will of course attempt to reuse the native libs where applicable too. Sometimes they work, sometimes they blow up But. yeah. not too painful again. menus are a bit "odder" run native but they still work. no they need work to show fully. I will have a play with a non debian window manager. Almost got all the bits together now to just run much of this natively I think. Will have a go once I tame the window manager. REALLY hope that two fingers work as right click... Last edited by twobob; 11-16-2012 at 08:38 PM. |

Hokay. progress.
Double fingers - middle click. xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 3 2" to remap right to middle and vice versa. Xephyr = Run native. Window manager = Blackbox (Native) Games = gtkboard selection and the DOS ones from before... All Run native. I guess you could call that a fair result. will look to repackage it all back up but the actual REQUIRED support is fairly tiny. I am also 90% sure I can convince the games to run with the same wangle on FAT that we used on blackbox (simple redirecting crafted shell scripts) to save the need for stupid multiple copies for the games. TODO: make OSK sit on right level. push events to active app and not grab focus. (ie actually work) build/port/use different window manager (blackbox is not very "click" friendly ) fix horrific menus in games (err somehow) but yeah. result. no debian required. |

okay so I also got awesome window manager (a custom version) grabbed over and ready (but this needs WAY more config that I am ready to do right now)
and I got matchbox across... which also needs love, but I have done some of that already. Hope you don't mind me noting this side-project here DOS? I can take it to another thread. Bascially I am attempting to rip out all I can to allow others to run most of what you are achieving - but without the fuss (and overhead) (and flexibilty) of debian |

ooh and this is fun... monopoly
but it requires more than one player to be online to play... : ) sounds like the perfect thing for a closed community. works good EDIT: Chat works fine. other than actually needing someone to play - this is great! ; D Last edited by twobob; 11-17-2012 at 08:14 AM. |

: ) Nice one. -nolisten tcp is also an option I believe (unless you are going to remotely control the X server via ip)

This (Kiriki) requires a HUGE amount of support libs (so if you were going to go down this road you may as well install ALL the kde games)
but anyways: Tested: Kiriki, YahtzeeSharp, OpenYahtzee. Only one with any OOTB value: Kiriki. (pictured) works great. Don't think I will even try to port it though. This can go on the "run in debian" pile I think. |
