I don't blame them for doing so if it lets them sell the same old junk for a higher price.
It's kinda shady, but... (Although a lot of "Vegan Leather" kindle cases are 10-20% or so of the cost of the official Amazon real leather case) |

Plastics are made from petroleum, which came from dinosaurs, and dinosaurs predate GMO so they could call it non-GMO.

No, turkeys and emus came from dinosaurs. I'm pretty sure dinosaurs are an impurity in it.
Peat, Coal, oil and gas are related. Also not all plastics are petrochemical based. You can make plastics from various organic sources. Though Cellulose Nitrate film (which can be made from cotton) isn't used now. /me checks wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrocellulose Yep, scary stuff and yet they made billiard balls from it for a while. It's why film projection rooms were the original no-smoking zone. Then they invented a safer film. More curiously not all natural rubber from latex is from the "rubber tree". All dandelions and maybe some lettuce can produce it. The Russians are alleged to have a particularly good variety of dandelion for rubber production. |

No, I'm wearing my Rothy's. If they're good enough for a duchess they must be good enough for me. I'm not really, they only make women's shoes - must think men are not trying to save the planet too.

"Vegan leather" is really annoying when shopping for a leather handbag on Ebay and all the "vegan" items show up in the search results.

"Bail out" - used to mean throw water out of a boat, now it means throw public money into a bank to save the executive's jobs. And "Bail in" means steal depositors money from their accounts and throw it into a bank to save executive's jobs.
It just doesn't make sense. Also can't stand anything José Mourinho says |

Pretty much any phrase or term used in place of death/dead/died. Especially when done romantically/poetically or euphemistically.
