The books you list are all from RosettaBooks, and some of them are available at Kobo and are couponable. The Clarke books used to be available at Kobo, but disappeared over a year ago. I think it's odd that RosettaBooks only sells a subset of their books at Kobo and B&N, since they used to have epub versions of them all. Either way, to find the ones on sale, switch to lowest to highest price. A few of them are on sale at B&N too, but not many.

I wish they'd do a sale like this for Asimov books, I'd probably burn through like $30-$40. For now I'm sticking with my print copies. Last edited by GreenMonkey; 10-04-2014 at 11:23 AM. |

Me too, but Macmillan/Tor are the publishers of most of the Asimov works, and they rarely, if ever, discount their backlist unless it's a promo for a next book in the series.

X-link to the People & Cultures Fiction megathread, since the late Roger Zelazny (no credentials-linking, because you should already know who he is) is probably a favourite author of a number of readers out there:
Repeat freebie from small press Stay Thirsty Media via KDP Select @ Amazon: The American Storybag by Gerald Hausman (ISFDB, Wikipedia), a collection of mostly folklore-based tales which includes the one he wrote for the posthumous tribute anthology Lord of the Fantastic: Stories in Honor of Roger Zelazny edited by Martin H. Greenberg and originally out from Avon Eos in 1998, another which was printed in an sfnal Zelazny-edited anthology, and finally a reminisce about Zelazny himself, who was a personal friend with whom Hausman had co-written an historical fiction novel Last edited by ATDrake; 10-05-2014 at 12:08 PM. |

I don't know if it's a bargain price but three collections of Don Marquis's Archy and Mehitabel stories are available (in a single file)for $10.54 with tax over at Kobo. It's a large epub file though at 10.8 mb in all. Probably most of that is the picture files that Don Marquis had as part of the original stories when they were in the newspaper.Kobo

It's only free from the US publisher for US customers. Amazon is price matching a promo from iBooks.

Oh well, some other time maybe. Not buying it at full price, though. I'd probably pay that much for a real, honest-to-goodness paperback but for a bunch of electrons? No way!

Whichever format you buy, you buy CONTENT that is the freaking book. Why do people think ebooks or audiobooks are anything else than that same content wrapped in a different packaging. Why do you consider dead tree format somehow superior to hold the content? Heck, why don't we all go back to stone tablets. I bet those would last longer. This will be my mantra from now on I'd probably pay that much for a real, honest-to-goodness stone tablets but for a bunch of dead trees format? No way! That's how silly those statements sound. |

Way of Kings has been discounted in the UK more than once. I know this because I bought it. (And if you want the paperbacks, you'll find it's been split into two and is even more expensive.)
There is a free downloadable version of Warbreaker on Sanderson's website if you want to try his solo material for free. |
