Yes - it's the pop-up toaster.
No. Just No. 7 to get, although I think it is very difficult. Certainly nobody at the quiz I spoke to last night had heard of it. I'll leave it open for a couple of hours (till I get home from work, basically), but if Hamlet or orlok want to have the next turn, please feel free. |

OK, I don't think that anybody's going to get the last one. It was that massive worldwide hit, "The Boatniks".
So I think it's over to orlok or Hamlet for the next one please. |

Good idea to revive - thanks.
Shame I have no idea of the answer! Is it anything to do with the letters that are missing in the alphabetic sequence? |

I'd say N, followed by T.

Thanks! Ordinarily I'm dreadful at anything that involves visual or spatial thinking. Not my strongpoint.
I'm at work, so here's a quickie. First person to name a word with all six vowels, a e i o u y, in order with no duplicates takes it. (I thought of a word in the middle of the night and then realized it has this quality.) |

No, I'm sure it was meant as a real question.
I've seen this question before, elsewhere, only without the "y" being included. The answer I've always known has been "abstemious", so perhaps "abstemiously", as well if that's a word. Last edited by Bilbo1967; 05-28-2013 at 09:25 AM. |
