If you are not willing to try Reset, then I think the only option is to live with it as it is indefinitely, since there’s no guarantee that an update will fix it. - if you want to continue to use Collections view, then you need to add Uncollected titles to a collection so you can open them from a collection. Switch to List or Grid view, find them there, add them to a collection of your choosing, and then switch back to Collections view. - alternatively, just use List or Grid view. You can set the Collections setting (Settings, Device Options, Advanced Options, Home & Library, Collections) to include collections mixed in with books in those views, using either the Show favorites or Show all option. - you can continue to engage Customer Support, of course, and maybe request someone who is more of a Kindle specialist, and they could (with your permission) get device logs that could help identify a root cause. The ‘first responders’ are not always well-equipped to help with edge cases like yours. Last edited by tomsem; 02-24-2022 at 02:02 PM. |

If you make a new collection for these "Uncollected" things, I suggest do NOT name it "Uncollected" or "uncollected" -- it might conflict with Amazon's enumerate-them-on-the-fly algorithm. I would name it NONE or RANDOM or NEVERLAND or NOWHERE (to suit my personal humor!).

Those books are still accessible if you don't wanna deal with a factory reset and re-indexing of your library. |

Personally I don’t keep anymore books on my kindle or any of the kindle apps than I am reading at the time. If I am going to take a trip and I believe I am going to finish one of the books I am reading then I download the next book or two books n my reading list.
This keeps my kindle faster, uses less battery, and it makes it easier if I for some reason need to reset my kindle and start over. |

There is, at least, a post advising how many books can be re-indexed at a time; how many books to put back onto your kindle at a time. From experience, by one of our members here. If you want those hints, I'm sure somebody here remembers the thread I mean.

That’s really helped keeping things from getting out of hand on my newest Kindle (the previous Paperwhite, which is a backup, still has hundreds of books on it because they landed on it before they made the change to the Deliver To default). I’ve had my Paperwhite SE for a couple of months now, and I only have a couple of dozen books on it at the moment. Those alone would take me weeks to read, and by the time I finish one book and take another up, it’s likely to be one I have not downloaded yet and that has caught my eye in the meantime. So yes, 32GB seems to be way more than I can ever imagine filling up. That could all change if they ever added Immersion Reading to Kindles. Last edited by tomsem; 02-24-2022 at 07:25 PM. |

I wish I could do the same. I treat books like I do TV shows. Unless I'm really really really into the book I'm reading, I read a chapter here and there from different books at the same time. That's why I have almost all my books on my Kindle.

HELP - Kindle does not accept AZW3 format from Calibre?
I am using Calibre 5.37 (64bit). When I try to send a pdf to Kindle via e-mail, and in the process select the option to convert it to AZW3 format (Calibre does not seem to allow just AZW format?), I get a response from the Kindle store that it does not accept it (see message below).
I was able to put the AZW3 file into my Kindle Reader on my Windows PC by copying the files to the book directory, but I do not see a way to transfer it from my PC to my Cloud Library so I can see it on all my devices (BTW, I do not have actual Kindle device, just smartphones, PC, Laptops, and pads). So, most basic question... how can I get a pdf to my Kindle Cloud Library in Kindle format? . I have tried various ways based on instructions I can find on the web; but none have worked... PLEASE HELP! THANKS YOU... Or just send it as a pdf. I have sent pdfs to my kindle before, and it arrived as pdf format. Idk if it's still possible now. But .mobi is your safest bet. |

Use the Send To Kindle app. It will handle larger file sizes than email, for one thing. And you can explicitly specify Title/Author, and whether to convert the PDF to mobi or not.

Well I finally found a way to get into the uncollected collection on my Kindle Paperwhite and it wasn’t just clicking on it you had to cut off showing content downloaded and then it would open and then when it was open I had to sort by download to get from over 1,000 to the 400 and something so it wasn’t that simple to get it open

The new user interface was enabled on my Oasis this morning. It appears that Amazon is opening it up to more users now.
