Not sure if you were referring to my post , lol ... I was not talking about expectations about this phone but expectations in general, cellphone market. Users basically came from several weeks of standby mode to a few days now. Couple of days or two days of charge (with normal usage) to 10 hrs, maybe a day if we're lucky. At least, I think that's true for most today's smart-phones: HTC, Samsung, Apple. |

I think people ought to step back and wait till the iPhone 4S actually gets into people's hands before dismissing this upgrade. Natural Voice interaction with computers has been the Holy Grail of the computer world ever since 2001: A Space Odessey, if not before then. If Apple achieved this , that would be major.
Apple has a reputation for two things: 1. Not doing things first, but doing things right. 2. In terms of user experience, anticipating what the user wants and providing it. They refer to it as "skating to not where the puck is, but to where the puck is going to be" Of course there have been flops (Ping anyone?) but there have been a string of monster home runs. It may take a while to figure out whether this is a Face Time or an iPad. But based on the past 10 years, I would invest in Apple stock. |
