A beautifully dry-aged cote-de-beuf butter basted on the bbq with triple cooked fries, pan roasted shallots, roasted garlic bulb and vine tomatoes with oregano.

beef strips with stir fried veggies and steamed brown rice. A nice quick dinner.
Côte de boeuf can be great if properly prepared and cooked. One of my childhood friends mother loved cooking a standing rib roast for special occasions. Sadly, she believe in cooking everything well done. Last edited by DNSB; 08-25-2023 at 10:27 PM. |

Spinach ravioli with vodka sauce (from a jar), and broccoli. I'll be cooking dinner for the next week and a half or so.

Blood sausages baked in the oven, with lingonberry jam. Traditional Christmas/winter food here, and one that I love.

I like black sausage and kishka. Something meaty but with some grains in there to make it not taste like unadulterated meat. Haggis, too. And I have lingonberry jam (Ikea) in the fridge.
For lunch, parboiled long grain rice and smoked herring. I should go shopping. Last edited by Renate; 02-02-2024 at 12:57 PM. |

An egg salad sandwich with a cup of lapsang souchong tea.
Oddly, I also have a bottle of Ikea lingonberry fruit spread in the refrigerator. |

Pasta in a creamy pesto sauce
I've eaten duck blood soup, but not blood sausage. I liked the soup. |
