Either that or a manual factory reset. See: Manual reset your Kobo Aura Edition 2.

As DNSB says, a manual reset. On a different note, when I did a factory reset from the developer options, there were still WiFi issues. I guess that the dev reboot doesn't completely wipe the device. Also... |

The manual factory reset and the factory reset from the Developer options are the same. I have checked this a few times. The both completely wipe the root and book partitions and restore from the recovery partition. The factory reset from the Device information screen doesn't wipe the root partition. It only only wipes the book partition to reset the contents. That probably doesn't clear the WiFi setup. It sounds like the original factory reset was the latter version, which is not what @DNSB suggested. |

As for the factory resets, are you sure that you've tested them on a newer firmware? Maybe the newer firmwares have different settings for resets. |

That's actually the reason I tested them. Originally, there was no factory reset option in the Developers options page. At that time, all of the factory reset methods, including the one on the Device information page, did the same thing, a full format of the root and book partitions and a restore from the recovery partition. When the factory reset on the Device information page was changed to just format the book partition, the full factory reset option was added to the Developers options page. That change wasn't very long ago. But, checking now, the two different factory resets in the UI work as expected.

Also, has anyone tested KSM on a Mini? |

Does KSM still work on the current firmware? If the answer is no, I suggest putting that in big bold letters in the first post of the tread.

As for KSM? I'd suggest that if you want to use KSM, you should at least look at KSM 9. Otherwise, look at the One-Click Install Packages for KOReader & Plato which seems to be better supported at this time. |

I have KFMon installed. Would that be why it is not working?

To be clear, there are two types of factory reset with the current firmware. These are:
After any of these, any sideloaded books will be lost and the setup prompts will be shown. In older firmware, there was only the full factory reset. This changed sometime during 2019. At that point, the factory reset in the Developer options was added. |
